Kaslo to New Denver : B.C.

Valley of the Ghosts.

Hi Way 31a is one of the more technical rides in Canada covering only 50 km . With a multitude of switchbacks and tight apexes , this ride is at the top of my list for rides in Canada. It cuts through the mountain range between Kaslo and New Denver in B.C , just north of Kokanee Glacier Park.

Natural eye candy on every corner , it's easy to get distracted and to over cook a corner on a heavy bike like the FJR. The road is seamless with little in the way of imperfections or frost heaves. One must be on the look out for cyclist and abundance of wild life crossing around every corner. I did this trip on 3 separate occasions during the last week in July. Mid week there was no traffic before the Canada Day long weekend , just an outstanding ride.

New Denver : with a list of options for the next ride.

Balfour to Kaslo, British Columbia .

The trip continues from Balfour to Kaslo ; B.C.

Road of apexes , somewhat technical in scope , with outstanding scenes , few places to stop to take it all in. here are just a few.

A favorite ride amongst two wheel enthusiasts , and you can see why.

Raven in K Country

Nice and hot , what a great opportunity to take out "the Raven " . Last two days came close to 30C , so some break in hours eating up sweepers . No traffic except  the occasional cyclists or fly fisher. Awesome.

What a great start to Summer.

Didsbury Show and Shine 2

As promised some more pics of the Show and Shine in Didsbury, enjoy:

An extensive selection of vehicles from the past , some rare , some very rare. I would highly recommend this show any gear heads in the future. It seems to grow every year , so much eye candy you can spend hours admiring the work and effort into restoring these metal works of art.
